My Writing, Comparing and contrasting

What is up,

So today I will be sharing my comparing and contrasting. The two animals I picked are a Cougar and Lioness.

I am sharing this with you because I did to my personal best. I am proud of this because it  I enjoyed searching up facts and putting them into a essay.

Comparing Cougar and Lioness

In some ways Cougar and Lioness are very similar, but   they are still different to one another.  You may think that they are very similar but in fact they have there own unique qualities.

Similarities

The Cougar and a Lioness are very similar. They both kill large herbivores and digest meat. ( eats meat) They eat deer and other kinds of animals. They both hunt in groups but the lioness hunt in larger groups. Alos they hunt the same way by  locking their jaws around the necks of their prey and claws and they both put them in a death lock.

Not only that, they are very similar to one another in other ways too. Here Is one fact: they have the same fur colour. The colour’s name is sandy brown. They don’t have hair like humans, they have fur.

Both Cat’s give birth to their young, and there cub’s feed from their  mother's milk. These Cat’s normally give birth up to four cubs. Both cat’s give birth to their young around the same age.

Differences

Lioness

This animal  lives in the savannah, in prides. There is a larger group of females in the pride. But not only that this animal is very Iconic of all the cats in it’s pride. This animal is jungle royalty to the jungle animals. Hunting, this is what is the weird part  because the females are the ones that go hunting while the male lions look after the cubs.

They can come into heat at any time in the day. When they are going to have birth they move away from the pride and then give. They go back to the pride after 4 days that the cubs or cub has been born.

Cougar

This animal is also known as a mountain lion, Puma and Cougar. The Cougar is found mostly in the american habitat, Here is one interesting fact is that a Cougar Has the loudest purr. Hiking they hike in small  groups in hunting. Also these animals are  very energetic because they can leap up to  up to 30 feet.

This cat is the second largest cat after the tiger there weight is up to 70 and 150 pounds.

And the cougar height is up to 60-90cm up to shoulder for a adult. The female length of 2 meters and a male is up to 2.4 meters.

Conclusion

A cougar and a Lioness are very similar but not Identical.

My Colour Poem

Colour Poem

Hi ,Peps
For one of my Task I had to do a colour poem my colour I chose was purple.
I am proud of this because I really tried hard to think of things that were purple.
I am shearing this to you because I enjoyed doing it.

WALT to use descriptive language to help create an image (picture) in our reader's head

Success Criteria

• Use adjectives to describe the noun
• Use adverbs to describe the verb (describe how the action is happening)
• Use a range of verbs to explain what is happening
• Use a range of nouns that help us identify with a colour

• A wicked witch zooming dangerously from castle to castle in search of potions

• Blood running down my foot, puddling on the ground

• The sweet juicy raspberry dripping  from my mouth as I bite into it
• A juicy watermelon inviting me to chomp on it
• The courageous vampire biting into a man’s fresh skin squirting blood

• Juicy Grapes growing gracefully  
• Flash Purple shoes flashing brightly past my face
• As the Purple crystals sparkling in my hand quickly
• As the egg plant slowly moves into my mouth  the flavor collides with my mouth
• As my purple head band smooths my hair out so I can see, It stays on firmly
• As the purple nail polish make it ways slowly to my nails

My name is Keighan and I am  just turning 11. I live in Hastings New Zealand. You are really awesome and fun to watch, I am your biggest fan.

I have been your biggest fan since Shake it up I still love watching your programs especially K.c undercover. The first program I saw you in is  Shake it up. I am a big fan of you and Disney channel

you are such an awesome actress to me an other  people. I love you as an actress, you are beautiful in different ways.

Your amazing dancing inspired me to do dance club it makes me happy and also it is fun to do. It always encourages me to be myself I enjoy watching you dance on shake it up. Your amazing acting skills are awesome, you fit all  the parts really well.

I really connected when you starred in Zapped. I liked how it when  people underestimate you, you stood up and that’s what I like about you. I think that you are awesome to watch and zapped was an emotional movie. I have a lot of respect for you as you are  someone I look up to. What you did as a actress in  your performances on Zapped was amazing, especially the ardey amaze it was so extreme. It allowed me to think big. I am blogging about my free choice writing because it is very interesting and I am proud of it.  I am sharing this to you because I love writing it is one of my favorite subject.

As I turn around slowly I see this mysterious shack with a foggy waterfall. The moss is covered around the rocks. The trees behind the shack are like a big long stick going up to the sky. The shack looks like it is going to collapse to the ground. I feel like I am in my own place here. This green place is amazing; it looks like a never ending forest. I hear the water clustering over the rocks. I see this amazing sight I have ever seen before. I am going to keep this place to myself.

I am proud of my learning task because this is my best writing so far this year. I am sharing this with you because I am really proud of it and I want to share it so other people will enjoy my writing.

This is my… Scene Description

As I hear the cluttering noise from the waterfall I run to the noise. Then I stop and look at the most beautiful view of the waterfall. The native smell from the trees and bushes glides past my nose . As the sun set’s  the sun is  gazing across the waterfall. As I dip my hand into the the glistening water, it makes me feel alive. As I look closely I can see leveled rocks making a little waterfall. There is a curved cliff that is making the most amazing  waterfall I have ever seen. The crystal clear river rushes to go past the smaller waterfall then it goes calm like a cat sleeping. As the colourful cloud slowly makes its way to the other side of the world. As I fall asleep slowly I can hear the water slowly calming down.

I am proud of this because I put my personal best into my description. As you can see I put in my senses into my writing. That is why I am proud of my scene description.

My biggest challenge was trying to put in more improve words so my writing could pop out more.

My Favorite Book task

Jamie Curry Video / Script and Report

       
My video is called Forgot My Clothes.     I have done a video about Jamie Curry. She is a comedic actress she is not afraid to make fun of herself.

We are leaning to find out how she is and what she loves. I have a report about her and a script about the video to what to say. I did this because it was something I was proud of.
My Script 
 Forgot my Clothes

Setting: She at her just got there went out side in the back yard.

Mood: Angry

Character: Jamie

props: mud

She has left home and her mum sees the suitcase next to her and runs but can't get to her.

This is about when Jamie falls into mud outside in her backyard and just remind that she left her suitcase at her mums.

Mum: Jamie have a good flight. Make sure you pay the power bill and the rent.

Jamie: Yes mum, now I am going.

Mum: Okay get in.

Tayla: Bye sis!

Jamie: I'm going on a trip in this little taxi..

Jamie: Im here, wow, look at this back yard.

Jamie: Ow there is mud all over me. I am going to change my clothes.

Jamie: Where is my suitcase?

Mum Jamie’s suitcase is here.  Oh thats a doozy!

Mum: I better call her.

Jamie: Jamie here, hi who is this?

Mum: It is your mum, you forgot your clothes.

Jamie: This is my world, It sucks to be a adult.

Jamie: This is Jamie’s word.

My Report

Jamie Curry

Introduction

Jamie Curry is a Comedian. She lifted herself to be one of the best teenagers in New Zealand by making fun of herself. Jamie is not afraid to make fun of herself. She attended Sacred Heart College. She is now  19 years old. She is a Hawke’s Bay local woman. This lady is self deprecating. She  became Famous  on a Facebook page.

Her Life

Jamie  has a mum and dad, also a younger sister called Tayla. She has moved to Auckland. Within all the videos she has made one about when she was moving to Auckland. She started her big life off when she went to Sacred Heart College. After school she had a soccer practice  and her team convinced her to have a Facebook page for them to watch her.

Youtube Fame

This artist spends 2 hours sending emails back to her fans. People think Jamie has funny photos and videos on Facebook and Youtube also Twitter. She is now  19 years old. This teenager  is a Hawke’s Bay local woman. This lady is self deprecating. She started her life on a Facebook page.

Other successes

Jamie has got young New Zealander of the year in 2013, the same year that Lorde got nominated.  Next year she will be touring the UK for a British boy band.  Doing a music video to make people laugh is what Jamie likes doing . She thought that she would only get 100 likes in her videos but she was pleasantly surprised.

Conclusion

Jamie wants to tour Hollywood to see what actors do in their life so that she knows what to do. This teenager is not any teenager! This young  lady is a super star.

Writing-Narritive

Hi I have done a narrative. I put my  hard work into this. I am proud of my work because I put my best effort  into this. I did this to show what I can do with a device and how I can work hard. 

The Horse Sports

“Kate get ready for school! Kate now!”

 Kate got ready. She was at school. Kate  went to Kura Kaupapa  high school.  It was a normal day.  Kate and her friend Te Aroha were talking about the horse sports as normal. Then there was a mean boy called Karty. He would beat Kate at barrel racing but she could beat him at everything else, especially polocrosse. 

The next day it was three more days from the horse sports. Everyone was talking about it. It was still a great day because Kate  got to go and open a horse and to get to see her horse Coco. She had the fastest  barrel time race until Karty beat it.  But she had the courage and determination to try to beat his time. 

His time was  One minute and 15 seconds. 

The Race

It was the big day. Kate chose Coco as always. For her open  horse, I chose Snowflake. We had to get  up at 5.00 am in the morning.

It was cold like ice. The first event was apple dunking. Then it was barrel racing. It was the last event. Kate had won all the events so far.

This was her moment to beat Karty.

“On your marks, get set, go!”

We were off  and the pressure is on. 

    Kate was in the lead. Then Karty run into her. She fell off Coco! She dislocated her shoulder but she beat Karty’s time. It was one minute. Kate had achieved her goal. “It is not about winning and losing, it’s about having fun.”

    

The prize giving

Unfortunately Kate had to get rushed to the hospital.

But she knew that she got the best time in the world.

She had to stay in the hospital, but she had achieved her goal.

6 years later

Kate still holds the record for barrel racing.

Connect 4 worlds champs

              

                   vs                             

 Connect 4 world champs Copper smashed Lowe.

At 12.02 at Parkvale School, room 21A had a connect 4 world champs. Mr Cooper and Mr Lowe where competing against each other.

The teams were yellow, the yellow person was Reuben Cooper, versus red, that was Derek Lowe.

They started with a speech from the red corner but the yellow corner was sorry that he did not have a speech.

The game started with a handshake, then it all started! The game was on for the 2 competing. It is a pity that Derek Lowe had never played connect 4 in his life.

It was all on. Mr Lowe started. 6 moves later Mr Cooper was going to win but in a way.  Lowe didn’t see it so Mr Cooper won with a right diagonal cross that Mr Lowe did not see. It was a clean match.

My Menu

This week I have been doing a menu for writing. I had to write  a menu for my family.

’’Welcome my name is chef Keighan this is my menu this will blow your mind get ready I am the best cook in the world. ‘’I will be serving you today”

(Ontray) Pizza with muscles on top it is so yum that your head will pop of in a second is it Yum you tell me. pizza with pineapple on to or mushroom pizza yuuum it it so good.

(main) I will   serve you  with a salty tray on the tray there  will be a nice juicy muscles, kina and paua so salty, can you believe that?

Roast broke with baby carrots potato and green beans.

(Dinner) A stuffed chicken filled with potato kumara beans and grated carrots it will be roasted chicken  hum hum in my  tumtum. Tasty dishes crunchies stuffed chicken.

A stack that is marinated  baby carrot on the side with sauce on the side .

(Desert) There will be a juicy blueberry pie “mm hum,,. chocolate fudge with strawberry on the side. Anzac biscuits 5 on each plate.

(drinks) Fizzy it will be coke wine and coffee  L&P and beer.

The story of Galaxy K9 

Galaxy K9 can look at a villain and see their identity. She can also teleport and she has a chip in his eye to see a screen but no one  can see it. She is a air bender and fire also water  she almost have all of the superpowers she just need to kill the master of all super powers . She can love someone only if he has the same powers. her hair was purple with a blue lightning strike on the size of her hire. She has black suit her skin color is green  her shoe’s are green her side kick is her 10 year old brother and his name is called laser crawl he can shoot laser from his hands eye he can shoot them any where.

She can be angry at her brother sometimes because he doesn't listen all the time she is nice if he does the job that she told him to do and if he listens to his job. She has a sister that was not born yet and one that was not born with super power at all but she a smart kid for a 2 year old  she is smarter than my brother laser crawl. She has a baby boy on the way. Their parents are too old and weak for kick butts.
